damn.

This was I think our first dinner together after Mel came back from Korea. I persuaded them to eat at Bannaple which serves really good food and the place’s ambiance is relaxing. This was also the time Andrea was having troubles with her thesis while I was having troubles with what I want to do with my life. Hahaha! I think this was around January. Well, 2011 was literally both a roller coaster of good and bad for me. And this is definitely one of those good times I’d always want to go back to. And Bannaple also is an epic place..epic, epic place.

Yes! I AM BACK! My brain’s creative juices are finally dancing to the beat of my mood again. Back when I was still cringing at the thought of finally graduating from my ever dearest UP, I said that I will be posting pieces of memories I’ve had in college. Well, obviously, those posts gathered virtual dust because then I started reposting again and again but not actually writing SOMETHING SENSIBLE, at the least.

So, yeah..here I am again attempting to (if I may say it lyrically) wake my will to write from its slumber. (whuuut??)

Well, anyway, I tried to go back to my previous blogs and realized that my last blog was about last last year’s lantern parade. And according to my Facebook photos, this picture should be the next one I should be writing about.

FRIED COOKIES. Now a serving of this is never enough. This is served in one of our favorite places, COMBI. Three years ago, we’d always spend our weeknights at Combi, filling up our bellies, and especially our hearts, with a bowl of rice toppings and a serving of fried cookies. Although I never remember a time where we ordered one serving of fried cookies for each one of us, we’d always leave the place in a “great dinner” mood. And when I said that our hearts were also filled up, it means that we eat 50% of the time we were there and the other half is spent talking, giggling and crushing over the owner of the place. I may sound and pass as a fangirl but aside from, well, his looks and his body, he is also the one responsible for the food we eat and when I say responsible I mean, HE COOKS THE ACTUAL FOOD WE EAT. Oh yes, he is awesome. Hahaha.

Moving on…

Seriously, I just terribly miss this place. By the following year (2010, I think) since we started frequenting the place, our tastebuds betrayed us and our weeknights were spent at the more mainstream restaurants in Katipunan or Philcoa. But then, we suddenly got excited to visit the place again when we heard they were closing down to open up a bigger place. However, later that year, sadly, they just closed down and a new resto was put up.

I don’t even know whatever happened to that place but we sure did have a lot of fun while we were there. I even brought Azel there, who was my room mate back when i was still in UPLB and she actually liked the food. I should’ve been paid for endorsing the place and encouraging my friends to eat there. *evil grin

Oh well, I am blabbering now.

But honestly, writing about this makes me realize that somehow those frequent weeknights at Combi made me “clingy” and that eventually got me to fit in my beloved org.  ^____^

my excitement might kill me first before my fear does.

Perception and Motion: The House Fallen from the Sky by Jean Francois Fourtou

“I made the house as if my grandfather has sent it from heaven,” says Fourtou. This piece not only changes the way one moves through the spaces of house, but also puts a curious spin on production. Where the house came from, how it was constructed and how one enters are all questions that are up for interpretation.
